A coil buildup line is a coil processing line used to join two or more coils, or break a coil into two or more parts. The line usually contains uncoiler, recoiler, and shearing unit among others.

Cold rolled coils processed in cold rolling mills, especially when rolled in mineral oils have a thin film of residual rolling oil on the surface after rolling. Burning of this oil film leaves dark patches on the surface during annealing process. Alkaline cleaning and brushing of these coils ensures totally clean surface of the coils before annealing. The Degreasing Line mainly consists of uncoiler unit, squeeze roll units at entry and exit of degreasing chamber, degreasing chamber with brushing rolls, and recoiler unit.

Coil cleaning line is a coil processing line that is used to clean the surfaces of the metal coils. The surface can be cleaned of liquid or solid waste as per requirement.

A Dry Grinding Line is used to grind both the surfaces of the metal coil upto 40 to 50 microns, giving polished surfaces on both sides of the metal coil.

Rewinding Machine (Rewinding Line) is used when a metal coil has to undergo a process of batch annealing after rolling. The coil is tightly wound during the process of cold rolling, which is not suitable and the tension is to be reduced before the coil is processed for batch annealing. The coil is rewound with lower tension in rewinding line. These lines are also used for surface inspection of the rolled coils, thereby saving productive time of rolling. Entry coil car, coil threading device (snubber & peeler table), wiper unit, pressure pad, recoiler with pusher, two arm unloader, and exit coil car are some of the key equipments of the machine.

Tin Plating Line is used when a coil of metal is required to be plated with tin. The metal coil passes through various tanks with different chemicals, with the end result giving a tin plated metal coil.

Coil processing lines are used for treatment of metal coils. The line usually comprises of different equipment like uncoiler, pinch roll unit, leveler, shearing unit, welding unit, and recoiler among others.
